Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC additionally attracted €200 million in grant aid for this heating season. This was announced by the head of Naftogaz Oleksiy Chernyshov.
Naftogaz signed the corresponding agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on February 1.
According to Chernyshov, this result is an indicator of the significant support of Ukraine by the Norwegian government, which provided the specified non-refundable grant funding through the EBRD.
As reported by ExPro, Naftogaz began importing natural gas from Europe at the beginning of January 2023 for the funds of foreign partners. The company plans to continue importing gas in February.
As a reminder, Naftogaz has already started preparations for the next heating season of 2023-2024.
